Everything is in relation
to everything else.
Minutes, hours, days fly by, often with little notice as I toil behind a desk. The world outside is in perpetual motion and I yearn to be part of every moment. I look out the window. Is it October already? What happened to September?
Photography, the whole journey of photography, has become my escape from the ordinary and a gateway into appreciation. My camera is my seeing eye dog, my compass, my time machine, my mirror, my microscope, my art brush. It commands me to engage my senses, to tune in and to connect with everything around...immediately. It coaxes me to look within and beyond at the same time. It urges me to visualize and capture those ephemeral moments, discover its values both bitter and sweet, and savor its beauty. It forces me to be a zen master.
