San Francisco, California December 16, 2013 A curious bystander watched me as I stood with my tripod on the street below his apartment building. I was busy making the image that follows this one when he came down to introduce himself. After seeing what I was doing, he graciously offered to take me to the roof of his apartment for another perspective. It was certainly a glorious view of the city and this is part of what I got. Thank you M. Sciarappa! Nikon D800 + 70-200mm f/2.8 @ 70mm, f/14, 30 sec, ISO 100

Vancouver, British Columbia Canada January 23, 2016 The nickname "City of Glass" was bestowed upon Vancouver by a prominent local writer. It reflects the dominant steel-and-glass architectural aesthetic of the city's downtown. Adorning the foreground is the colorful and eclectic Granville Island Public Market. Beyond lies False Creek which leads private yachts out into the Puget Sound, then Burrard Bridge, the glass high-rise condominiums lining Beach Avenue, and finally the mountains of North Vancouver in the distance. Vancouver is my favorite city in North America. Nikon D810 + Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8. Multiple exposure blend comprised of seven images; time interval with auto gain to simulate a single long exposure. Not an HDR processed image.
