Fleetweek 2011 San Francisco, California The USS Carl Vinson is a United States Navy Nimitz-class supercarrier. Commissioned in 1982, it is still in active service today. The helicopter escort is a Sikorsky MH-60S Seahawk assigned to the USS Carl Vinson. I captured this unusual angle while standing near the middle section of the Golden Gate Bridge as the carrier and helicopter passed underneath. This was a truly majestic sight to witness in person.

Stealth Bomber being Stealthy

Fleetweek 2011 San Francisco, California Northrup Grumman B2 Stealth Bomber The pilot suddenly appeared out of the clouds directly over my head taking me by surprise. I never heard the jet approaching and couldn't react fast enough to get a good photograph. He flew so close, an impressive sight.
